Can you give out of work young people a new opportunity? Claim Government funding to create job placements in the chimney and stove trade with free HETAS training.
Kickstart Jobs UK and Poujoulat UK are working together to help businesses in the chimney and stove trade to access the Kickstart Scheme and provide HETAS training to young people.
The Kickstart Scheme provides 100% funded 6 month job placements for young people under 24 years old who are at risk of long term unemployment due to Coronavirus.
Employers will be paid the National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, plus employer National Insurance contributions and employer minimum automatic enrollment contributions. Employers will also receive a grant for setup costs.
Kickstart Jobs UK is a Kickstart Gateway working to help smaller employers who cannot apply to the Government directly. Poujoulat UK is the European market leader for chimney flues and stacks and provides HETAS training courses.
To support businesses in the chimney and stove trade, we are working together to provide a full support package to help you take on a young person for 6 months and grow your business, fully funded by the Government, with free HETAS training provided by Poujoulat UK.
There are two types of job placement available:
Retail Shop Assistant and/or Surveyor – employ young people to work in your shop and with customers. Trainees would complete a free HETAS training programme including an online retailer course and a two day Solid Fuel Regulations & Standards course at Poujoulat UK’s training centre in Guildford, Surrey. Training for these roles is provided free of charge, funded from the Kickstart setup grant. The balance of this grant (£1,000 for the Retail Shop Assistant / Surveyor role) will be paid to the employer for setup costs.
Designer/Installer – employ young people to work in your design and installation team. Trainees would complete a free HETAS training programme including an online retailer, designer and installer course and a three day Solid Fuel Regulations & Standards and System Chimney Course at Poujoulat UK’s training centre in Guildford, Surrey. Training for these roles is provided free of charge, funded from the Kickstart setup grant. The balance of this grant (£600 for the Designer/Installer role) will be paid to the employer for setup costs.
Poujoulat UK’s courses focus on providing the knowledge of and use of building regulations, standards, legislation, appliance and chimney selection, design, sizing and pre-installation survey considerations, plus installation, commissioning and maintenance requirements.
