What is the Kickstart Scheme?
The Kickstart Scheme funds hundreds of thousands of high quality 6 month work placements for young people aged 16-24 deemed at risk of long term unemployment due to Coronavirus.
The scheme pays employers 100% of the National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, plus employer National Insurance contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions. There is also a £1,500 grant per job placement available for setup costs, support and training.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has removed the threshold of 30 job placements, but employers can still opt to apply through a Kickstart gateway, including those supporting sole traders such as Sutton Croft. As an official Kickstart Gateway, we can handle your application on your behalf entirely free of charge as the Government covers our administration costs directly.
